The Senators played 60 seasons in Washington and won a single World Series, in 1924, from three pennants. The record is 4,223-4,864. Walter Johnson pitched here from 1907 to 1927 and won 417 games, and the club finished in the top half of the league in fewer than half of those years.

The best season is 1933, at 99-53, and it ended in a World Series loss. The worst is 1904, at 38-113, the club's fourth season. Bucky Harris managed across three separate spells totalling eighteen seasons and won 1,336 games, and he was 27 when he managed the 1924 champions as the club's second baseman.

Eighteen Hall of Famers played here, among them Johnson, Goose Goslin, Sam Rice, Joe Cronin, Early Wynn, Heinie Manush and Harmon Killebrew, who arrived at seventeen in 1954. Home was American League Park and then Griffith Stadium. The club moved to Minnesota after the 1960 season and became the Twins.
