Street's busiest playing season came with Washington in 1909. He caught regularly, appearing in 137 games and collecting 86 hits with 29 runs batted in. The games and hits were career highs.

Eight playing seasons gave him 312 hits, 44 doubles, 105 runs batted in and a .208 average across 504 games. Street caught 493 games. His clubs included Cincinnati, Boston, Washington and the Highlanders before one final playing appearance with St. Louis in 1931.

Street's larger record came as a manager. He went 365-332 across 702 games, primarily with the Cardinals. St. Louis finished first in consecutive seasons under him, going 92-62 in 1930 and 101-53 in 1931. He later managed the Browns in 1938. Street received one vote on each of three Hall of Fame ballots. He died in 1951, at sixty-eight.
