Eddie Onslow Marquee

Onslow's largest season came as a rookie with Detroit in 1912. He played 36 games, collected 29 hits, scored 11 runs, drove in 13, stole three bases and hit his only career home run. Every counting total was a career high.

Four seasons gave him 48 hits, three doubles, two triples, one home run, 22 runs batted in and a .232 average across 64 games. Onslow played 57 games at first base and made one appearance in the outfield.

Onslow returned to Detroit for 17 games in 1913 and hit a career-best .255 with 14 hits. Four seasons outside the majors preceded a two-game stop with Cleveland in 1918. After another eight seasons away, Washington brought him back for nine final games in 1927. Those separate chapters stretched his major-league record across sixteen calendar years and three organizations. He died in 1981, at eighty-eight.
