Harry Kelley Marquee

Harry Kelley pitched for Washington in 1925 and 1926, went back to the minor leagues, and did not return to the majors until 1936, by which point he was thirty. Philadelphia then got two of his best seasons out of him.

The 1936 and 1937 Athletics were among the worst teams of the decade, and he took the losses that came with being their most-used starter while completing 43 games across his career. He won fifteen in 1936 and thirteen in 1937 for clubs that lost close to a hundred each year, and Washington reacquired him in 1938.

Born in Parkin, Arkansas in 1906, Kelley finished 42-47 with three shutouts. He was fifty-two at his death, in March 1958.
