San Francisco Giants
The Giants moved west in 1958 and did not win a World Series for 52 years. Then they won three in five seasons — 2010, 2012 and 2014 — each in an even-numbered year, which became the joke and then the expectation. Six pennants and nine division titles across 68 seasons at 5,555-5,202.
The best season is 2021, at 107-55, the most wins in the club's history in either city, and it ended in the first round against the Dodgers. The low point came in 1985, at 62-100. Home was Seals Stadium for two years, then Candlestick Park, which was cold and windy enough to be a running complaint for forty years, and Oracle Park since 2000.
Fourteen Hall of Famers have played here, among them Willie Mays and Willie McCovey, who came with the move and just after it, Juan Marichal, Gaylord Perry and Orlando Cepeda. Barry Bonds played fifteen seasons here and hit 586 of his 762 home runs in a Giants uniform. Bruce Bochy managed all three title clubs.
