Enos Cabell Marquee

Enos Cabell came to Houston in 1975 and gave the Astros six seasons at third base, stealing 238 bases across his career and scoring 753 runs from a lineup spot that was rarely the point of the offence.

He was there for the 1980 club that won the National League West, the first division title in franchise history, and lost a League Championship Series to Philadelphia that took five games and extra innings in four of them.

Born at Fort Riley, Kansas in 1949, Cabell batted .277 with 1,647 hits across 1,688 games and six clubs, finishing with the Dodgers in 1986 and later working in the Astros front office.
