Terry Mulholland threw a no-hitter against San Francisco on August 15, 1990, and the only baserunner was a man who reached on an error by his own third baseman — meaning he came within a fielding mistake of a perfect game against the club that had originally signed him.

He pitched for twenty years and eleven franchises, some of them more than once, moving between the rotation and the bullpen as required. His one All-Star selection came in 1993, when he won twelve games for a Philadelphia team that reached the World Series.

Born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania in 1963, Mulholland worked 2,575 innings across 685 games and finished 124-142, pitching his last in 2006 at forty-three.
