Fourteen organizations employed him across seventeen seasons, which no one has exceeded. On June 25, 2010, for Arizona at Tampa Bay, he no-hit the Rays while walking eight and throwing 149 pitches, which is the highest pitch count in any no-hitter since the counting began.
Seventeen seasons gave him 107 wins against 133, a 4.78 earned run average, 1,960 innings and 1,508 strikeouts, with an All-Star selection in 2009. He made his major-league debut for the Dodgers on his twentieth birthday and beat Randy Johnson.
He won the World Series with St. Louis in 2011, pitching in the rotation and the bullpen. He is not on a Hall of Fame ballot.
