Born January 16, 1970
Englewood, NJ, USA
Seattle took him in the first round in 1992 out of a Rhode Island high school and he pitched for it and eleven other clubs before he was through, none of them for more than two seasons in a row. He started 93 games early in his career and became a lefty reliever for the second half of it.
Fifteen seasons gave him 61 wins against 65, a 4.73 earned run average, 1,168 innings and eight saves across 717 appearances. His best year was 2000 in Houston, when he went 7-8 with a 4.13, and his job for most of the rest was getting one left-handed hitter out and coming off the mound.
He pitched in the 2006 postseason for the Yankees. He is not on a Hall of Fame ballot.
