Rondell White Marquee

b. February 23, 1972 · Montreal Expos 1993–2000, Chicago Cubs 2000–2001, New York Yankees 2002, San Diego Padres 2003, Kansas City Royals 2003, Detroit Tigers 2004–2005, Minnesota Twins 2006–2007

He hit .270 with 28 home runs in 1997 and .312 in 1999 for Montreal, and in between and afterward he was hurt: hamstrings, knees, a shoulder. Fifteen seasons produced 1,474 games, which is fewer than a hundred a year.

He had 1,519 hits, 198 home runs, 768 runs batted in, 296 doubles, 94 stolen bases and a .284 average, with one All-Star selection. Six clubs used him after Montreal traded him in 2000, and he hit .270 or better for five of them.

He was a first-round pick out of a Georgia high school in 1990 and reached the major leagues at twenty-one. The 2013 ballot gave him no votes at all.
