Zack Taylor Marquee

Taylor's largest offensive season came for Boston in 1926, when he played 125 games, collected 110 hits and scored 36 runs. He had hit .310 with 109 hits and a career-high 44 runs batted in for Brooklyn the year before.

Sixteen seasons gave him 748 hits, 113 doubles, 311 runs batted in and a .261 average across 918 games. He caught 856 games, the only position listed in his fielding record. His nine career home runs never included more than three in one season.

Taylor played for Brooklyn, Boston, the Giants, Cubs and Yankees before returning to the Dodgers for his final 1935 season. He later managed the Browns in 1946 and from 1948 through 1951, going 235-410 across 649 games. His clubs never finished higher than sixth. He died in 1974, at seventy-six.
