León's best offensive season came with Boston in 2016. He hit .310 with 78 hits, seven home runs, 35 runs batted in and 36 runs across 78 games. The hits and average were career highs.
Thirteen seasons in all gave him 323 hits, 62 doubles, 32 home runs, 152 runs batted in and a .207 average across 562 games. He also drew 133 walks. He caught 523 games and made eight pitching appearances, working nine innings and striking out two.
Washington brought León up in 2012, followed by five seasons with Boston. He later played for Cleveland, Miami and Minnesota, with the Cleveland club changing from Indians to Guardians between his stints. After Texas in 2023 and no major-league appearances in 2024, he returned for five games with Atlanta in 2025.
