Mack Eggleston caught for sixteen clubs that the record can name, which even in the Negro Leagues was a great deal of moving, and he was a switch-hitter, which for a catcher was rare enough to be part of why so many clubs wanted him.
The Baltimore Black Sox had him longest, across three seasons in the late 1920s, and he was there for the 1929 American Negro League title. Harrisburg, the Homestead Grays, the Washington Pilots, the Bacharach Giants and the Nashville Elite Giants each had him for a season or two.
Born in Roanoke, Virginia in 1896, Eggleston batted .273 with 477 hits, 25 home runs and 264 runs batted in across 543 recorded games. Eggleston died in September 1980, two weeks short of eighty-four.

Seasons outside MLB's recognized major leagues appear in All seasons, but not in Major leagues or the leaderboards. For Mack Eggleston, that is 1930–1931. Why totals can differ.
