George Susce Marquee

Susce's largest season came with the Browns in 1940. He played 61 games, collected a career-high 24 hits, drove in 13 and stole his only base. The games and runs batted in were also career highs.

Eight seasons gave him 61 hits, 11 doubles, two home runs, 22 runs batted in and 23 runs across 146 games. Susce hit .228 in 268 at bats and caught 140 games without appearing at another position.

Philadelphia brought Susce up in 1929, when five of his hits included three doubles and a home run. He made two appearances for Detroit in 1932, followed by a six-season major-league absence. Susce returned with Pittsburgh in 1939, moved to St. Louis in 1940 and spent his final four seasons with Cleveland. He collected 14 hits across 29 games in his final 1944 campaign. Susce died in 1986, at seventy-eight.
