Eric Hinske Marquee

Eric Hinske won American League Rookie of the Year in 2002 as Toronto's third baseman, hitting 24 home runs, and spent the rest of his career becoming something else entirely: a left-handed bat who would play first base, both corner outfield spots and third, wherever a contender needed one.

That flexibility took him to the World Series in three consecutive years with three different teams — Boston in 2007, Tampa Bay in 2008, and the Yankees in 2009 — which no one else has managed. He won rings with the first and last of them.

Born in Menasha, Wisconsin in 1977, Hinske hit 137 home runs across twelve seasons and seven clubs, and later returned to the game as a major league coach.
