Sixteen seasons gave him 1,335 hits, 187 doubles, 52 triples, 395 stolen bases and a .272 average across 1,701 games, mostly in the outfield but also 125 at first base. He hit .303 with 136 hits for Toronto in 1984, his best offensive season.
He finished with St. Louis in 1990 at thirty-seven. He is not on a Hall of Fame ballot.
