Danny Jackson pitched for Kansas City for his first five seasons before a well-traveled second half of his career carried him through Cincinnati, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, St. Louis and San Diego, retiring in 1997.
He went 112-131 with a 4.01 earned run average over 2,072 innings pitched, completing 44 of his 324 starts and throwing 15 shutouts, striking out 1,225 batters.
He was a Sporting News All-Star twice, in 1988 and 1994, the same two seasons that mark his All-Star Game selections.
Born in San Antonio, Texas on January 5, 1962, Jackson batted right-handed while throwing left. That left-handed arm carried him through seven different organizations across a fourteen-season career.
