Aroldis Chapman pitched for the Cincinnati Reds for his first six seasons before moving through the Cubs, the Yankees, the Royals, the Rangers, the Pirates and, in 2025, the Red Sox, almost entirely as a closer.
He has saved 367 games across 863 appearances, all but a handful in relief, with a 2.52 earned run average and 1,331 strikeouts over 821 innings pitched, a rate of missed bats that stands out even among closers.
He was named to the All-MLB First Team in 2025 and the Second Team in 2019.
