Andrew Miller pitched as a starter early in his career with Detroit and Florida before reinventing himself as a dominant reliever in Boston, and later pitched for Baltimore, the Yankees, Cleveland and St. Louis, retiring in 2021.
He went 55-55 with a 4.03 earned run average over 829 innings pitched, saving 63 games and striking out 979 batters, almost all of that work coming in relief during the second half of his career.
He took the League Championship Series MVP award in 2016, a postseason run that also earned him recognition as that year's best major leaguer in the playoffs.
Two All-Star selections came in 2016 and 2017. Gainesville, Florida produced Miller, on May 21, 1985; he batted and threw left-handed.
