Glenn Myatt Marquee

Myatt made the most of his first full season with Cleveland in 1924. He hit .342 with 117 hits, eight home runs and 73 runs batted in across 105 games. All four figures were career highs except home runs, which he raised to 11 the following year.

Sixteen seasons gave him 722 hits, 137 doubles, 38 home runs, 387 runs batted in and a .270 average across 1,004 games. He caught 734 games and appeared in the outfield 38 times. His playing time gradually shifted toward reserve work after 1925.

Myatt began with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1920 and 1921, missed the majors in 1922, then spent thirteen seasons with Cleveland. The Indians sent him to the New York Giants during 1935. He played a final 13 games for Detroit in 1936 and died in 1969, at seventy-two.
