Born October 22, 1982
Jacksonville, FL, USA
He went undrafted out of Florida and signed with the Angels, then bounced through three organizations before Baltimore claimed him in 2012 and he became one of the American League's most reliable setup men for seven seasons there, making the All-Star team in 2015.
Fifteen seasons gave him 42 wins, 21 saves, 609 innings and a 2.59 earned run average across 644 appearances, all but three of them scoreless outings that lasted an inning or less. His sidearm delivery, nearly parallel to the ground, made him especially hard for right-handed hitters to read.
He finished with the Yankees in 2021 and 2022 combined. He is not on a Hall of Fame ballot.
