Charlie Carr Marquee

Carr became Detroit's regular first baseman in 1903 and produced career highs of 154 hits, 79 runs batted in and 59 runs while hitting .281 across 135 games. He moved to Cleveland during 1904 and remained a regular there in 1905.

Seven seasons gave him 492 hits, 68 doubles, 32 triples, 240 runs batted in and a .252 average across 507 games. He played 505 games at first base, the only position listed in his fielding record. Carr stole 49 bases.

Carr had brief early stops with Washington and the Philadelphia Athletics before Detroit. After Cleveland, he played for Cincinnati in 1906 and then spent seven seasons outside the majors. He returned with the Federal League's Indianapolis Hoosiers in 1914, hitting .293 with 129 hits and 69 runs batted in. He died in 1932, at fifty-five.
