Tom Hutton Marquee

Tom Hutton batted .248 for his career and .317 against the New York Mets, and hit five of his 22 home runs off Tom Seaver, which was enough for the New York press to make a running joke of it and for Philadelphia to keep finding him at-bats.

He was a first baseman and left-handed bat off the bench for Philadelphia across six seasons and for Montreal across four, appearing in the 1976 and 1977 League Championship Series with the Phillies.

Born in Los Angeles in 1946, Hutton collected 410 hits and 234 walks across 952 games, and spent more than two decades afterwards as a television analyst for the Marlins.
