Sid Gordon played third base for the New York Giants across two stretches of his career, a Boston trade splitting them, then moved to the outfield for Milwaukee and Pittsburgh before a final season back with the Giants, retiring in 1955.
He batted .283 with 1,415 hits over 1,475 games, hitting 202 home runs and drawing 731 walks, a well-rounded fifteen-season career across four different clubs.
He was a Baseball Magazine All-Star in 1949, the same year as one of his two All-Star selections.
The other came the year before, in 1948. Gordon was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 13, 1917, and batted and threw right-handed. He died on June 17, 1975, having spent his career across four different clubs.
