Robinson Canó played nine seasons for the New York Yankees before a 2014 free-agent deal took him to Seattle, and he later played for the Mets, the Braves, the Padres and the Mets again, all in a single 2022 season.
He batted .301 with 2,639 hits over 2,267 games, hitting 335 home runs and driving in 1,306 runs. He scored 1,262 times and drew 620 walks across that well-traveled career.
Two Gold Gloves came in 2010 and 2012, and five Silver Sluggers followed between 2006 and 2013. He took the 2017 All-Star Game Most Valuable Player award and was picked for eight All-Star teams in total, the first in 2006.
He was born in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic, on October 22, 1982, and batted left-handed while throwing right.
