Hayworth's largest season came with Detroit in 1933. He played 134 games, collected a career-high 104 hits, drove in 45 and drew 35 walks. The year before he had hit a career-best .293 with 99 hits.

Fifteen seasons gave him 546 hits, 92 doubles, 238 runs batted in, 220 runs and a .265 average across 699 games. He caught 677 games, the only position listed in his fielding record. His five home runs included two in 1932.

Detroit brought Hayworth up in 1926 and employed him through early 1938. He later played for Brooklyn, the Giants and the St. Louis Browns, with several seasons of little or no major-league time after 1939. He returned to Brooklyn for nine final games across 1944 and 1945. He died in 2002, at ninety-eight.
