Trouppe earned five recorded Negro league All-Star selections: 1938 and four straight from 1945 through 1948. His 1938 preserved line included 20 hits, two home runs, 11 runs batted in and 20 runs across 18 games, good for a .357 average.
His recognized major-league record contains 127 hits, 25 doubles, six home runs, 73 runs batted in and a .259 average across 162 games. Trouppe caught 90 games and played 72 in the outfield. The Negro league figures are partial because many box scores were not preserved.
Trouppe also went 217-170 across 398 games as a manager. His Cleveland Buckeyes finished first in 1945 and 1947. In 1952, Cleveland gave the thirty-nine-year-old catcher six American League games; he collected one hit and scored once in 10 at bats. That appearance completed a recognized career stretching from 1930 through 1952. He died in 1993, at eighty.
