Jim Donnelly Marquee

Donnelly's career year came with Baltimore in 1896. He hit .328 with 130 hits, 71 runs batted in, 70 runs and 38 stolen bases across 106 games. The hits, runs batted in and average were all career highs.

Eleven seasons gave him 549 hits, 56 doubles, 173 stolen bases, 237 runs batted in and a .230 average across 654 games. He played 631 games at third base, with only 23 appearances at other positions.

Donnelly moved frequently after debuting with Indianapolis in 1884, representing nine club identities across the National League and American Association. He played for Washington, St. Louis and Columbus before Baltimore, then finished with the Giants and Pirates in 1897 and St. Louis in 1898. The long journey covered fifteen calendar years. He died in 1915, at forty-nine.
