Ogden made five appearances for the Giants in 1918, then spent nine seasons outside the majors. He returned with the Browns in 1928 and immediately carried a 242-inning workload, going 15-16 with two saves, 18 complete games and a 4.15 earned run average.
Five seasons gave him a 25-34 record, three saves, 144 strikeouts and a 4.24 earned run average in 528 innings. He started 57 of his 123 appearances, completed 29 games and threw two shutouts. Nearly half his career innings came in 1928.
Ogden remained with St. Louis in 1929, making 34 appearances and 14 starts. After sitting out 1930, he joined Cincinnati for his final two seasons. His 1931 line included a 2.93 earned run average across 89 innings and his second career shutout. He died in 1977, at eighty.
