Born December 13, 1898
Louisville, KY, USA
Harry Jeffries played for eighteen different clubs that the surviving record can name, across twenty-four years, and played the outfield, all four infield positions and catcher while doing it. Very few careers illustrate the churn of the era so plainly.
The Detroit Stars, the Baltimore Black Sox and the Chicago American Giants had him more than once each; the Cleveland Tate Stars, Browns, Elites and Tigers between them had him four times as those franchises formed and dissolved. He was still catching for the Clowns in 1944.
Born in Louisville in 1898, Jeffries batted .255 with 484 hits across 562 recorded games. Jeffries was sixty-seven at his death in September 1966.

Seasons outside MLB's recognized major leagues appear in All seasons, but not in Major leagues or the leaderboards. For Harry Jeffries, that is 1935–1935. Why totals can differ.
