Frank Scheibeck Marquee

Scheibeck's largest season came with Toledo in 1890. He played 134 games, collected 117 hits, scored 72 runs, drove in 49, stole 57 bases and drew 76 walks. Every one of those totals was a career high.

Eight seasons gave him 329 hits, 37 doubles, 18 triples, 148 runs batted in, 214 runs and a .235 average across 390 games. Scheibeck stole 88 bases and played 363 games at shortstop, with brief appearances at second base, third base, pitcher and in the outfield.

Scheibeck debuted with Cleveland in 1887 and appeared for Detroit the next year. After his Toledo season, he split 1894 between Pittsburgh and Washington, remained with Washington, and later returned with Cleveland in 1901. A final Detroit appearance in 1906 extended his major-league span to twenty calendar years and seven club identities. He died in 1956, at ninety-one.
