On July 27, 2011 he no-hit Cleveland and allowed a run anyway — an error, a stolen base and a ground out in the first inning — which has happened only a handful of times. He won 16 games three times, in 2008, 2010 and 2017, the last for a Minnesota club that reached the playoffs, when he also led the American League with three shutouts.
Sixteen seasons gave him 151 wins against 129, a 4.11 earned run average, 2,486 innings and 1,978 strikeouts, with two All-Star selections. Eight of them were with the Angels, who signed him out of the Dominican Republic at seventeen.
He was suspended for eighty games in 2015 for a positive test for stanozolol, the first Minnesota player suspended under the drug agreement, and pitched for four more years after it. He is not yet on a Hall of Fame ballot.
