Don Pavletich Marquee

Pavletich produced his best two-year stretch with Cincinnati in 1965 and 1966. He hit .319 with 61 hits, eight home runs and 32 runs batted in in the first season, then .294 with career highs of 69 hits, 12 home runs and 38 runs batted in.

Twelve seasons gave him 349 hits, 73 doubles, 46 home runs, 193 runs batted in and a .254 average across 536 games. He caught 291 games and played 159 at first base, with one appearance at third.

Pavletich first reached the majors with the Cincinnati Redlegs in 1957 and 1959, then returned after two seasons away as the club used the Reds name. He remained through 1968, played for the White Sox in 1969 and finished with two seasons in Boston. He died in 2020, at eighty-one.
