Born December 29, 1962
Kingston, Kingston, Jamaica
Devon White played center field for the California Angels for six seasons before a trade to Toronto, where he won two World Series titles, and later played for Florida, Arizona, the Dodgers and Milwaukee, retiring in 2001.
He hit 208 home runs and stole 346 bases over 1,941 games, batting .263 with 1,934 hits and 1,125 runs scored, a genuinely complete outfielder's game.
His defense earned him seven Gold Gloves between 1988 and 1995, a run interrupted only once in those years.
Three All-Star teams chose him, in 1989, 1993 and 1998, seasons that fell across three of his six major-league clubs. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on December 29, 1962, and switch-hit while throwing right-handed.
