Tim Wallach Marquee

Thirteen seasons in Montreal gave him 1,694 hits in 1,767 games, both more than any other Expo managed in the franchise's thirty-six years. He played third base there through the whole of the 1980s, won three Gold Gloves and two Silver Sluggers, and was chosen for five All-Star teams.

Seventeen seasons in all gave him 2,085 hits, 432 doubles, 260 home runs, 1,125 runs batted in and a .257 average. He led the National League in doubles twice. His best year was 1987: 177 hits, 42 doubles, 26 home runs and 123 runs batted in.

Montreal traded him to Los Angeles at thirty-five and he had one more good season there, hitting .280 in 1994 and taking Comeback Player of the Year. He has coached and managed in the minor and major leagues since. The 2002 ballot gave him one vote of 472.
