Mo Vaughn Marquee

Mo Vaughn played first base for the Boston Red Sox for eight seasons before a free-agent deal took him to Anaheim in 1999, and he closed out his career with two seasons for the Mets, retiring in 2003.

He hit 328 home runs and batted .293 over 1,512 games, driving in 1,064 runs and drawing 725 walks, a power-and-patience combination that defined his best years.

He was named Most Valuable Player in 1995, the same year he took a Silver Slugger and was named a Sporting News All-Star.

Three All-Star selections ran across 1995, 1996 and 1998. He was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, on December 15, 1967, and batted left-handed while throwing right.
