Michael Cuddyer Marquee
He hit .331 for Colorado in 2013 with 20 home runs and a 27-game hitting streak, the best average in the National League, and won a Silver Slugger. It was his twelfth full season and the first time he had led the league in anything.
Fifteen seasons gave him 1,522 hits, 333 doubles, 197 home runs, 794 runs batted in and a .277 average, with two All-Star selections. Eleven of them were in Minnesota, where he played the outfield, first base, second base and third as the club required.
He was the ninth pick of the 1997 draft out of a Virginia high school, and he was an amateur magician who performed card tricks for teammates. The 2021 ballot gave him no votes at all.
