He reached Chicago in 2015, hit 26 home runs in 151 games and was Rookie of the Year. The next season he hit 39 home runs, drove in 102 and led the National League with 121 runs, and the writers voted him Most Valuable Player. Chicago won the World Series that fall.

Cal Ripken, Ryan Howard and Dustin Pedroia are the only others who have been Rookie of the Year and then Most Valuable Player the following season. Bryant was an All-Star in each of his first two years and again in 2019 and 2021, and he hit 29 or more home runs in three of his first five seasons.

Chicago traded him to San Francisco during the 2021 season, and he moved to Colorado for 2022. He has played 170 games in the four seasons since, eleven of them in 2025. His record stands at 1,068 hits, 184 home runs, 548 runs batted in and 667 runs over eleven seasons.
