Joe Cicero Marquee

Cicero's best season came in his 1929 debut with Boston. He hit .313 with 10 hits, two doubles, two triples, four runs batted in and six runs across 10 games. The hits, runs and average were career highs.

Three seasons gave him 18 hits, three doubles, four triples, eight runs batted in and 14 runs across 40 games. Cicero hit .222 in 81 at bats. He appeared 19 times in the outfield and twice at third base.

Cicero stayed with Boston for 18 games in 1930, collecting five hits and driving in four. Fourteen seasons outside the majors followed before Philadelphia brought him back in 1945. He played 12 games for the Athletics, collecting three hits and scoring three runs in his final campaign. The return stretched his major-league career across seventeen calendar years. Cicero died in 1983, at seventy-two.
