Jimmy Rollins Marquee

b. November 27, 1978 · Philadelphia Phillies 2000–2014, Los Angeles Dodgers 2015, Chicago White Sox 2016

In 2007 he had 212 hits, 38 doubles, 20 triples, 30 home runs, 41 stolen bases and a league-leading 139 runs, and was the National League's Most Valuable Player. Four men have had 20 doubles, 20 triples, 20 home runs and 20 steals in a season — Frank Schulte in 1911, Willie Mays in 1957, and Curtis Granderson and Rollins in the same summer of 2007.

He got 2,306 hits for the Phillies, more than Mike Schmidt or Richie Ashburn or anyone else in the club's long history, and 2,455 in all, with 470 stolen bases, 511 doubles and four Gold Gloves at shortstop. He led the league in triples four times.

He said in January 2007 that the Phillies were the team to beat in the division, which the Mets had won by twelve games the year before, and then Philadelphia caught them on the last day. The club won five straight divisions and the 2008 World Series. He got 37 votes of 394 on his first ballot in 2022 and 71 of 394 in 2025.
