Jim Slaton pitched for the Milwaukee Brewers in two separate spells covering twelve seasons, and no one has won more games in the franchise's uniform. He was there for the lean years of the 1970s and still there for the 1982 pennant, when he pitched in relief in the World Series against St. Louis.
Milwaukee traded him to Detroit for the 1978 season and re-signed him as a free agent that winter, which tells you what both parties thought of the arrangement. His All-Star selection came in 1977, between the two stints.
Born in Long Beach in 1950, Slaton worked 2,683 innings with 86 complete games and finished 151-158, closing out with California and a last appearance for the Tigers in 1986.
