Lindsey's largest season came for St. Louis in 1930. He appeared 39 times, made six starts, went 7-5 with five saves and posted a 4.43 earned run average across 105 innings. He completed three games and struck out 50.
Nine seasons in all gave him a 21-20 record, 19 saves, 175 strikeouts and a 4.70 earned run average in 431 innings. He started only 20 of his 177 appearances, completed five games and threw one shutout.
Cleveland brought Lindsey up in 1922 and used him again in 1924. After four seasons outside the majors, he returned with St. Louis in 1929 and remained through 1934, when he also made four appearances for Cincinnati. A final 20-game season with Brooklyn in 1937 ended his career. He died in 1963, at sixty-four.
