Hank DeBerry Marquee

DeBerry's best offensive season came in his first year with Brooklyn, 1922. He hit .301 with 78 hits, three home runs and 35 runs batted in across 85 games. The hits, home runs and average were career highs.

Eleven seasons gave him 494 hits, 81 doubles, 11 home runs, 234 runs batted in and a .267 average across 648 games. He caught 569 games, the only position listed in his fielding record. DeBerry received Most Valuable Player votes in 1924.

Cleveland brought him up for brief stays in 1916 and 1917. He then spent four seasons outside the majors before joining the Brooklyn Robins in 1922. DeBerry remained with Brooklyn for nine straight seasons through 1930, completing the rest of his career with one organization. He died in 1951, at fifty-six.
