Fred Carisch Marquee

Carisch's largest season came with Cleveland in 1913. He played 82 games, collected 48 hits, drove in 26, stole six bases and drew 21 walks. The games, hits, runs batted in, steals and walks were career highs.

Eight seasons gave him 149 hits, 17 doubles, nine triples, one home run, 57 runs batted in and a .227 average across 226 games. Carisch caught 202 games and appeared 14 times at first base.

Pittsburgh brought Carisch up in 1903, and his five games that year produced six hits, four doubles, his only career home run and five runs batted in. He remained with the Pirates through 1906, then spent five seasons outside the majors. Three years with Cleveland followed from 1912 through 1914. After eight more seasons away, he returned for two final games with Detroit in 1923, completing a twenty-one-year span. He died in 1977, at ninety-five.
