Chad Kreuter Marquee

b. August 26, 1964 · Texas Rangers 1988–1991, 2003, Detroit Tigers 1992–1994, Seattle Mariners 1995, Chicago White Sox 1996–1998, Anaheim Angels 1997–1998, Kansas City Royals 1999, Los Angeles Dodgers 2000–2002

Kreuter's best season came with Detroit in 1993, when he hit .286 with 107 hits, 15 home runs, 51 runs batted in and 49 walks. Each was a career high, and his 119 games that year were the only time he reached 110.

Sixteen seasons gave him 593 hits, 123 doubles, 54 home runs, 274 runs batted in, 361 walks and a .237 average. He caught 892 games and appeared only seven times at other fielding positions. That specialized work kept him in the majors through frequent club changes.

Texas brought Kreuter up in 1988, and he later played for Detroit, Seattle, the White Sox, Anaheim, Kansas City and the Dodgers. He changed between Chicago and Anaheim during both 1997 and 1998. After three years in Los Angeles, he returned to Texas for seven final games in 2003.
