Belliard's largest season came in his first year with Atlanta, 1991. He played 149 games, collected a career-high 88 hits, drove in 27 and scored 36 while hitting .249. It was the only season in which he reached 350 at bats.

Seventeen consecutive seasons gave him 508 hits, 55 doubles, 142 runs batted in and a .221 average across 1,155 games. He played 896 games at shortstop and 172 at second base. Belliard hit only two career home runs in 2,301 at bats.

Pittsburgh brought him up in 1982 and employed him for nine seasons. He joined Atlanta in 1991 and remained for eight more, shifting back toward reserve work after his first year. Belliard played 82 games in his final 1998 season, completing a career spent with only two organizations.
