Patsy Gharrity Marquee

Gharrity's best season came with Washington in 1921. He hit .310 with 120 hits, seven home runs, 57 runs batted in and 62 runs across 121 games. Each figure except games played was a career high. He had played 131 in 1920.

Ten seasons gave him 513 hits, 92 doubles, 26 triples, 20 home runs, 251 runs batted in and a .262 average across 676 games. He caught 439 games, played 110 at first base and appeared 35 times in the outfield.

Washington brought Gharrity up in 1916 and used him in every one of his major-league seasons. He played regularly from 1919 through 1923, then did not return to the majors until brief appearances in 1929 and 1930. His record contains no other organization. He died in 1966, at seventy-four.
