In 2012, his first full season, he hit 30 home runs, stole 49 bases, led the American League in both runs and steals, and was Rookie of the Year. He took the Most Valuable Player award in 2014, 2016 and 2019, led the league in runs four times and in walks three, and has been chosen for eleven All-Star teams.
He has 404 home runs, 1,754 hits, 1,196 runs and 214 stolen bases, and he bats .294. He is one of fifteen men in the record with 400 home runs and 200 stolen bases. From 2012 through 2019 he played at least 114 games every year and won a Silver Slugger in seven of them.
Then the games stopped. From 2021 through 2024 he played 36, 119, 82 and 29 of them, and in 2025 he played 130 and hit 26 home runs. The Angels have finished above .500 in four of his fifteen seasons and won their division once, in 2014. He has never appeared for another club.
