Michael Young played for three clubs across 14 seasons as a shortstop, opening with the Texas Rangers in 2000 and closing with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2013.

He collected 2,375 hits over 1,970 games, batting .300 with 1,030 runs batted in. He finished with 185 home runs, 441 doubles, 60 triples, 575 walks and 90 stolen bases.

He led the league in hits two times between 2005 and 2011, topping out at 221. He played 793 games at shortstop, with 2,278 assists and 81 errors. He turned 530 double plays. He also played 465 games at third base, 448 games at second base and 111 games at first base.

He was selected to seven All-Star teams between 2004 and 2011.
