Huber's strongest preserved pitching season came with Birmingham in 1943. He went 4-3 with a 3.58 earned run average and 33 strikeouts across 50 innings. Four of his five starts were complete games, including his only recorded shutout.
The surviving Negro major-league record gives Huber a 7-15 pitching mark, 76 strikeouts and a 5.05 average in 160 innings. As a hitter, he collected 60 hits, 11 doubles, four triples, 22 runs batted in and a .247 average across 243 at bats. He appeared 42 times at catcher and 33 at pitcher.
Huber's recorded career extends from 1930 through 1947 and includes eight seasons. He represented the Memphis Red Sox, Philadelphia Stars, Chicago American Giants, Birmingham Black Barons and Cincinnati-Indianapolis Clowns. His best preserved offensive average was .313 with 15 hits in 1941. The statistics remain partial because many Black baseball box scores were not preserved. He died in 1964, at fifty-five.
